HURRICANE PANTRY / Hungry Jack Hashbrowns
Just found these today (Hungry Jack Hashbrowns) at Publix's ($1.99). Looks like they might be perfect for my hurricane pantry. You just add water to these dried potatoes and let sit in the carton for ten minutes. Fry them up for 4 minutes and you are good to go. Good for breakfast or a side for lunch/dinner. Easy & shelf stable. Let you know how they are. Have you tried them yet?
LOL / Fried Butter on a Stick Offered at 2011 Iowa State Fair

REVIEW / J. Mark's in Fort Lauderdale - Three Stars From Sun Sentinel
SCENE The classic neighborhood American tavern... coffee shop-style dividers give everyone their own intimate space to dine
MENU Grilled Jamaican wings ($10.99) I love that whole wings —instead of flats and drummettes...
Pasta - Heavenly shrimp spaghettini ($15.99)... Steaks were disappointing... Coconut cream pie ($7.99) was the standout sweet, although you can't miss with the carrot cake ($6.99).
$$$$ a burger for less than $15, or a big steak or inventive seafood dish for closer to $30.
SERVICE Friendly and attentive.
