In an email to regular customers, owner Mike Vuick said: 'We feel that McDain's is not a place for young children. 'Their volume can't be controlled and many, many times, they have disturbed other customers.' Under state law, restaurants cannot ban the elderly, because they fall into a protected class, but there is no law to stop children not being served.
